Visits to santa

I'm in the West Midlands and looking for a really good santa experience. I've got an 8 year old so conscious of not having many visits left. I've looked at the alton towers santa stay and if I can save enough money I may do that. Has anyone ever been??
Can anyone recommend one? I don't want to do the Telford polar express. But open to anything else. Thanks.

my sister took her dc to the cadburys world santa experience a few years ago and they all really enjoyed it, you get full tickets to have a look round cadburys world, free chocolate, access to a pantomime and to meet santa

What about the snow dome? Never been but that looks good.

The Black Country museum bclm.com/santa-hunts/, Attwell attwellfarmpark.co.uk/events/christmas and West Midlands Safari park www.wmsp.co.uk/wmsp-events/santa/

Thanks all. I'm looking for something really magical. Alton towers have a santa sleepover which looks really nice but it's sooo pricey. I'll check out all that have been suggested. Thank you

We are doing West Midlands safari park Santa safari, other ones we have done and loved are Drayton manor, Black Country
Museum, Warwick castle (with ice skating) and dudley zoo (but I don’t think they are doing it this year) sleepover at Alton towers is lovely but imo wasn’t worth the money.

Also magical alley in Stratford is supposed to be magical and really amazing but I’m not sure if it’s sold out!

You might struggle to get a space now but Stories with Santa at Warwick castle is absolutely brilliant. Santa and Mrs Claus are both there, both of them are absolutely amazing. We travel for a few hours to see them each year!

@Thatswhathappens thanks for the feedback about alton towers.
Warwick castle seems a firm favourite

Lapland UK absolutely amazing but near Ascot so not that close but worth the effort!!!

wetfloor · 05/10/2021 20:16

@mumsiedarlingrevolta thank you! I'll look this up.

Warwick
Castle has no availability for weekends. Must be popular!!

@wetfloor took DD when she was younger and then DS worked there christmas holidays from Uni as the wordless tallest elf.

They take it very seriously-everyone in character to keep the magic.

Lots of footballers, Sir Elton John etc took DC there-it is really really well done.

wetfloor · 06/10/2021 14:23

@mumsiedarlingrevolta oh wow! Hard to imagine Elton John in Stratford!! Haha!
