Erm - no, well, my mum suggested that we (myself and all my siblings plus wives / husbands / partners) don't buy them anything and they won't buy us anything this year either, but they will buy something for each of the grandchildren.

But we all said okay and then bought them something anyway so now my mum's racing round buying us stuff. Poor mum . (We have told her not to).

This year due to budgetary constraints we are all just getting each other one present, has to be as silly/rude as poss, max value £5. They are getting proper presents for DS though.

MiaWallace · 07/12/2007 14:34

None of the adults in my family buy each other presents. Presents are just bought for the children

OverMyDeadStuffedTurkey · 07/12/2007 14:36

I don't. My parents don't do Christmas, never have, so won't be getting us anything either!

nappyaddict · 07/12/2007 14:50

ok so it seems those of you that don't buy for your parents don't get stuff bought for you either. my parents won't do this even though i've told them often enough!

i suppose it's cos my sister doesn't have any children so they won't buy her a present and not me.

I'd have to be on the bones of my arse to not get my parents a christmas present.
