Harry Potter board games...
Magical Beasts
HP Cluedo
(I'm planning on the Quidditch game, but can't give a review)

My DD has asked for a robot this year.

Angelmonkey · 02/10/2021 12:28

Has he got the Harry Potter Lego wizard chess set?
Away from Lego or Harry Potter, can recommend hotwires- an electrical circuit kit my son loves his

Rocketpants50 · 02/10/2021 14:02

Ticket to ride game is great - not HP but old steam train themed, also like labyrinth.

Tickets to HP world or the photo pop up in London, or the HP show (need good seats so expensive!)
Also would recommend hotwires.

Stompythedinosaur · 02/10/2021 14:06

Harry Potter Dobble is good as is Harry Potter Cluedo.

Having a lot of HP lego has never stopped my two from wanting more!

Golden Snitch lamp
T shirt from Illuminated Apparel
ThinkFun circuit maze
Harry Potter pop up book
Marauder’s map heat change mug

Great ideas here thanks all.
@Stompythedinosaur
Interesting you bought up ticket to ride. I ordered that one on Amazon for him already due to arrive today. I like a good board game so I'm excited about that one as well.

I think more Lego will be a must but great other suggestions. I'll do my browsing while the kids are in bed later.

Not Harry Potter related but we got the Horrible Histories board game for DS's birthday and absolutely love it! Such a good idea for a game. We got the magical beasts HP board game too which is good but horrible Histories is better.

UnfinishedBunting · 02/10/2021 15:45

HP Cluedo is a hit here, and is quite different to normal Cluedo.

UnfinishedBunting · 02/10/2021 15:46

Oh, I've been looking at HP wax seal sets too - I think my DS would love something like this.

randomuseragain · 02/10/2021 15:48

The illustrated version of Harry Potter? Massive book with beautiful pictures

dashoflime · 02/10/2021 15:48

My DS is similarly Harry Potter obsessed.
He's asked for Ravenclaw robes and a fancy wand

Harry potter lego game for the ps4
Funko pops
Tickets to Harry Potter World
Movie night hamper - dvds, popcorn, snacks, drinks in it.
The range has some fun little games. I bought the boys "game of gnomes" "skeleton hands" and one that's something like pizza goat cheese something.
Knex sets
Skins for ps4 controllers (they had some in primark for £6 I got for my boy)
Playstation pjs/clothing
Plush of a favourite character from a game or movie.
Draw your own comic book - loads of different ones on amazon blank frames to fill in.

2319inprogress · 02/10/2021 22:23

this stunning illustrated HP
DND card game
If you want longer table top games wingspan, quacks, sagrada
Comic books?
Amulet, zita the space girl, Lightfall, 5 worlds for adventure.
Bad guys, Bunny v.s Monkey, HiLo for funny.

My wildcard is Turing Tumble programming with a pinball machine (kind of Grin)

yoshiblue · 03/10/2021 18:15

We're big on board games, our favourites are Quacks of Quedlinberg, Monopoly Cheaters, Labyrinth (the do a HP one), Forbidden Desert/Island (those are coop games). This year I think we're getting Dixit which looks quite different!

Marks and Spencer have some lovely HP clothing and gifts this year, so worth a look.

xmasdealhunter · 04/10/2021 15:17

if you have a DVD player/ playstation (as that will also play DVDs), the sceneit boardgames are a huge hit here, you play along with the DVD.
