anything in an m&s pack

cornsilk · 07/12/2007 00:12

love butternut squash!
We are very boring at Xmas and have sprouts and carrots - that's it!

psychomum5 · 07/12/2007 00:15

i cook whichever veg i know the kiddies will eat, which at the moment is broccoli, baby sweetcorn and carrot sticks only.

altho for me I actually like sprouts so we will have those, plus parsnips and sweet potato and butternut squash.

sounds rather boring and traditional really doesn't it....

psychomum5 · 07/12/2007 00:17

I will however only being doing whatever is ready prepared this year as I am thoroughly fed up with washing, scrubbing and peeling for 15 each year!!!

and maybe even copy ballbaby and go for M&S packs too

pollywollybauble · 07/12/2007 00:51

roast carrots and parsnips and potatoes (we like our roasts)...might throw b/nut squash in as well....plus sprouts and chestnuts, oh and mash

lovecat · 07/12/2007 07:32

I'm at SILs this year so God knows, but ordinarily, those M&S parsnips in honey & ginger, sprouts stir-fried with bacon, french beans, broccoli, carrots, peas, then cauliflower mash and glazed turnips if I'm still Atkinsing otherwise potato mash and roasties.

Of which dd will no doubt deign to eat 2 peas and half a carrot baton...

isaidhohoho · 07/12/2007 07:37

We're having sprouts, carrots, roast parsnips, swede mash and roast spuds - because that's the veg in my xmas veg box!

scrummyfairyontopofthetree · 07/12/2007 07:39

Red cabbage.

Tesco Finest pot of green vegetables - you put in microwave for 3 mins.

Will depend on what dh/dcs request!

Certainly roast potatoes and parsnips. Probably carrots, maybe sprouts (although not for the dcs as they hate them). Sometimes they ask for cauliflower cheese.

Thankfully they both like most veg so it's not a difficult thing.
