Christmas Tree World Ultra Mountain Pine or Woodland Pine?

Looking at a new tree for this year, 7ft but can’t decide between these two - anyone have a recommendation/review? I like Balsam Hill but cannot justify the price when compared to Christmas Tree World. I think the Ultra Mountain Pine looks more realistic but like the fuller look of the Woodland Pine too (and is apparently what they use at National Trust homes so presumably also quite “realistic”).

Thanks in advance!

Not much help and no experience of Balsam Hill or CTW but I much prefer the tree with the red star.

I like #2

#2 looks like it's about to chase after you!😁
So it's far and away #1 for me; it's elegant, has a very pleasing symmetry and most importantly it looks like it could be real.🎄

Agree LD- the one with the red star! But personally I'd want to see it 'in person' before choosing one

I have just taken delivery of the CTW one this morning! 6ft though, I thought the 7ft would be too wide at 1.4m. I haven't put it up but the tips do look very realistic. The inside foliage isn't moulded but won't really be visible. It feels really good quality. We normally have a real tree but I'm hoping this will be a good substitute.

Which one did you go for? I already knew that they weren’t 100% moulded tips but don’t mind as that helps with the “fluffiness” and as you say, you won’t really see it anyway.

Haiyaa I got the ultra Mountain pine. I like the natural shape in the picture. As I say I haven't put it up, but I'm certainly happy with the colour (not too dark) and the shape of the moulded tips

I was considering the ultra mountain pine but also looked at the woodland pine as well.
Argos are doing a habitat tree that looks like the woodland which is 6ft for £80 which I was keeping an eye on.
Personally like the mountain pine one slightly better out of the two

There was a lady who posted photos on here last year of her ultra mountain pine decorated and lit it looked amazing!

Haiyaa · 03/10/2021 20:01

I’ve gone for the Ultra Mountain Pine. Will try to remember to put a picture up once it is up and decorated 😃

Good choice!

Look forward to seeing the pics.

We bought the 8ft Woodland pine two years ago and are delighted with it. Very realistic. DS2 liked it so much he bought the 6 ft version last Christmas.

TheRosariojewels · 05/10/2021 16:20

I have the mountain pine in 8ft. I went for it because I don't really like the uniform triangular shape that lots of artificial trees have. From a distance a few people have assumed it is real. It does take a while to 'fluff' it properly to get the best effect.

Hope you don’t mind me resurrecting your thread @Haiyaa but I’m poised to order a 7ft Ultra Mountain Pine for Christmas 2022 and wondered if you were happy with yours?
