Crayola advent calendar - what age?

Hi all

I’ve been looking at the crayola advent calendar. Think it would be perfect for my arty 7 year old DS but wondering if it would be too young for my nearly 10 DS? He is quite young on things he enjoys but equally getting more self conscious of stuff being ‘too young’. They usually get smiggle ones.

If anyone who has had it could comment would be very grateful!

I would say the branding looks quite young- cartoon crayons etc. Quite a few of the prizes are crayons as well, which I would say are quite young - or at least a 10 year old would probably think so.

Yeah that’s what I was thinking hungry - I got wondering as some of the reviews mentioned 10 year olds enjoying it ( also because I’m at a total loss what to get this DC although he loves Lego he doesn’t like the Lego calendars and smiggle doesn’t look so great this year and quite a lot of pink stuff - sigh!)

I find often what they want is different to what they want their friends to know they want. For this reason mine always got a chocolate advent and then didn't always tell their friends about the other advent.

If he likes art/craft what about the plasticine modelling one? The makes look like a bit of a challenge and fun?

My DD had the Crayola advent calendar last year at 8.5yo. I think it would be fine for an almost 10 yo. It was really good - crayons, felt pens, glitter glue, plasticine and it comes with a colouring/puzzle sheet everyday.

Gibsons jigsaws do a jigsaw advent , you get a small puzzle to make each day and glue to make them into hanging ornaments ( flat ) . Last years was excellent .

Just looking at theRavensburger activity one?

My dd had it last year at 6, if they did a new one each year I would happily buy it for the next 4 years for her! Her older brothers were pretty impressed with it too
