Her older brother will likely be getting an xbox so I want to make sure she has something equally wanted and special.

She already has a Nintendo Switch, bike, scooter and roller skates, playmobil dolls house.

The only thing I can think of is a nice Lego set... but we do already have tonnes of that so not sure it meets the special main present criteria.

Any and all ideas welcome please!

This is what I’ve got my 7yo. Her older sister wants a switch which is what she’s getting. £ value the 2 are uneven but my 7yo won’t care all she wants is an invisibility cloak and a gamesmaster book. She’s made about Harry Potter, Star Wars etc…

Ice skates and lessons if you are near an ice rink

Karaoke machine?
My DD loves all the interactive pet-type toys. She’s 9 now but when she was 7 we bought her a Cubby Bear interactive toy and I cannot tell how much she loved/ still loves him!
Magic Mixies looks quite fun!

Ice skates and lessons if you are near an ice rink
I'd get the lessons first and let her try it out before investing in skates

Fujifilm instax mmini 40 instant camera
here
and some film for it.

Loving all these ideas, thank you. I think the camera or karaoke machine might be right up her street.

She loves roller discos so ice skating lessons is also a good idea... our local ice rink was turned into a covid hospital and I don't think it's been changed back yet so I need to see if there are other options nearby.

Does she like play figures? My girls love schilech horse club

I wouldn't try to do equal in value, unless you think they'd particularly notice. Mine definitely don't. I try to do about equal in amount of presents not value, it evens out year to year. My daughter really didn't have a clue how expensive her siblings Switch was compared to her Barbie Ambulance she wanted when she was 7 for eg. When I've tried to encourage mine have a 'main' expensive gift I've found its not always their favourite or most wanted thing. You can get the wow factor from cheaper things, the time will come when she wants the Switch/iPhone/laptop etc

I always consider the main gift to be the most wanted, not necessarily big.

Last year for my dd1 it was this particular figure she wanted, cost me £20. I wrapped in a special box with tissue paper. It wasn't the most expensive or biggest box, but the one that made her the most happy!

So maybe think about what she really likes playing with and add to it. No use buying something big just because her brother has something big.

This year dd1 (13) is having a second hand ps4 and dd2 (9) is having a proper hairdressing head. Both will be very happy as its what they both would like but not the same cost wise.

My other idea for dd2 was a dressing table with mirror and nice jewellery stand (for all her many bracelets and necklaces!).
