We usually make up a box and send it to Canada, but the postage is so expensive. Any good websites which you can recommend to order from where they will deliver?

kids clothing www.pleasemum.com
toiletries [http://www.ca.lush.com]

not sure about perfumes and stuff. Shopper's Drug Mart is like Boots, but don't think they do online shopping

babypowder · 06/12/2007 07:54

What about chocolates?

purplemonkeydishwasher · 06/12/2007 07:57

just a point: some canadian website WON'T take UK credit cards.
amazon is fine, i'm sure i've ordered from toys r us before. but not sure about the others.

(Canadian online shopping SUCKS!!)

purplemonkeydishwasher · 06/12/2007 07:59

Oh god! bernard callebaut!
we used to live near one of his chocolate shops...i put on a lot of weight that year...

babypowder · 06/12/2007 12:36

Purplemonkey, you are so right - on both the chocolate and awfulness of Canadian internet shopping! I must admit, though, that I haven't had many problems using my UK card, and I find that if you ring up local shops they will usually arrange delivery at a reasonable rate if they aren't on the web.

awayinNaeManger · 07/12/2007 07:00

ring up local shops?

actually now that you mention that I tried that last year. note: don't ever try to phone Krevco to order soemthing for my boring BIL. Useless doesn't cover it.

actually, I have to buy something for my boring BIL again. the 'list' he's given out is expensive and/or stupid. (Who asks for a SHOEHORN?? I ask you!)
I was going to get him a Chuck Norris T-shirt But have just been informed by sis that he will only wear plain shirts.

so what do you get a boring guy (non-techy) that's cheap (we're skint) and available over the internet??

ggirlsbells · 07/12/2007 08:46

canadian tire vouchers

it's sort of like a cross between B&Q and Halfords...really dull.My db loves it.

babypowder · 07/12/2007 10:25

or lee valley A personal favourite of my Dad!

awayinNaeManger · 07/12/2007 17:15

actually i never even thought to check to see if i could get RONA vouchers (which were on boring BIL's list). it looks like Canada might be entering the modern age after all!

ggirlsbells · 07/12/2007 17:17

the shopping there really is a load of old shit isn't it.

AwayinaMargoNooNooCribForABed · 07/12/2007 21:18
