Purplemonkey, you are so right - on both the chocolate and awfulness of Canadian internet shopping! I must admit, though, that I haven't had many problems using my UK card, and I find that if you ring up local shops they will usually arrange delivery at a reasonable rate if they aren't on the web.

actually now that you mention that I tried that last year. note: don't ever try to phone Krevco to order soemthing for my boring BIL. Useless doesn't cover it.

actually i never even thought to check to see if i could get RONA vouchers (which were on boring BIL's list). it looks like Canada might be entering the modern age after all!
