I haven't really made a plan yet, since it's not officially Poncing Season yet, but I'll definitely be doing a wreath for the front door, with greenery from the garden. I did one last year and really enjoyed it. DD and her friend will make one each too. I'll try for a garlandy affair for the mantelpiece as well; I've always used artificial ones there before and they always look absolutely pants!
I'd like to put some greenery over internal doors and pictures as well, though I've never done that before and don't really know how to go about it. There's going to be a lot of time spent on Pinterest.
I'll dry a load of orange slices for tying to all the greenery everywhere. I've done it the last few years so at least I know what I'm doing!
I bought a couple of big bags of cloves that I'm going to put in oranges. Tried it before, it didn't work, I think I need to stab them with a pointy thing (stick 'em with the pointy end?) first; cloves really aren't that sharp!
I'll make a cake (Delia's creole cake, always) but split it in four, decorate them individually and give three away; I'm on an 8 stone weight loss journey that's more important to me than cake, and I'm the only one here who eats it. I adore the ritual of it though.
I'm going to ponce together a hot chocolate bar in the kitchen. I've never decorated the kitchen that much, but I fancy going all American on it and DD and DS are (naturally) hugely enthusiastic about this plan. It'll be a great way to use some of the nice Christmas dishes as well, and more greenery.
I bought the pattern for someone-or-other's lovely felt 12 days of christmas decorations last year that I'd been eyeing up for years, so there's a slim chance that I'll actually tackle that. Very slim though, because I haven't finished my crocheted summer bunting for the patio, or the crocheted autumn garland I started. ADHD puts a bit of a spanner in my crafty works! We'll see...
I want to make a load of paper snowflakes to hang in the sitting room window - it'll make lovely shadows on the opposite wall. The kids will enjoy helping with that (for half an hour).
I grew paperwhites last year but didn't actually like the fragrance. I'd only do them again as a gift. Actually, maybe I will do a few for family as gifts; my mum and sister would both appreciate them. They might like to come over and make their own wreaths, too. We could have a multigenerational girly wreath making workshop
It's possible that I'll get DD to make felt stockings for the kittens. She's been assigned the role of Cat Santa this year, and is taking the role very seriously.
