Never received one before.

I am sure I wouldn't be able to think of enough stuff to put in one though. Maybe my life isn't full enough! LOL!

So, what would your Round Robin say? Can you think of an interesting thing/sentence about your family to say for each month of 2007?

Still trying to come up with an idea of what ours would be like - trouble is I am stuck on January, can't think what we did back then!!!

Boredveryverybored · 04/12/2007 16:38

I can't remember what I did last week never mind every month of the last year! lol

WhenFIMBOgotstuckupthechimney · 04/12/2007 16:42

Mine would be this
Jan-start to prep house for sale
Feb-house on market
Mar-waiting for offers
April-bingo offer accepted
May-chasing solicitors, building control and all in sundry to do with selling house
June-sale of house finally happens, purchase of new house falls through
July-move into tiny rented house
August-scream at lack of room in said house
September-chase builders of new house we have decided to buy instead of other house
October-finally move into new house
November-dh goes to work in India and I am left to deal with workmen etc
December-put Christmas tree up/clean rented place and hand keys back.

Exciting or what

Hulababy · 04/12/2007 17:43

GLad you are finally sorted in your new place, what a year for you!

WriggleJiggle · 04/12/2007 22:39

This years would be pretty rubbish, but last year it would have been easy ...
moved house, dd1 born, dh fighting contructive dismissal, dd1 in hospital, dh got new jobs, rented 3 houses, moved to other end of country, I got new job, problems with pets. Oh, very soon after pg with dd2 .

pollywollybauble · 04/12/2007 22:45

mine would be
i would tell you what we have been doing over the last year only i can't even remember what i had for lunch today....

CountessDracula · 04/12/2007 22:47

I wouldn't bother this year tbh
has been poo

fireflyxmasfairylights2 · 04/12/2007 22:49

Had an eventful year.

Kids fought for most of it.

dd's tin whistle playing is coming on great & she's doing well at singing.

ds has a few new swear words that we are ignoring.

Dh has lost 3 stone.

I have found it.

onlyjoking9329 · 04/12/2007 22:50

and mine would be the same as countessDraculas

pinkspottywellies · 04/12/2007 22:53

Mine would be soooo boring. DD (pfb!) is 13 months old so it would be dd smiled and dd laughed and dd first slept through and dd first had a babysitter and dd rolled over and dd started on solids and dd ....... you get the gist!!

SeaShells · 04/12/2007 22:53

Mine would be:
'I'm sure you would all agree that this has been the worst year of most of our lives and as agreed earlier in the year, once this year is over and done with, it's being put into a box and forgotten about, I hope 2008 brings more happiness and good luck to everyone than 2007 did, god knows we all deserve it! Good riddance 2007'

onebatmother · 04/12/2007 22:55

aren't round robins the fine art of making your self look fab (even in the face of irrefutable evidence to the contrary)

ie. we were thrilled when ds was accepted at St Crap's. While St Fabuloso's would have been nice, we were never sure that they would give DS the freedom to fully express himself in dance.

ours is pretty mudane - no bragging just an overall about our family this year.

things like dd3 being born, what the dds are into this year, and what dh andn I have been up to - no bragging just can't bring myself to do it.

Swedes2Turnips1 · 05/12/2007 01:09

I call it a boast by post.

mine would be very dull.
Depending on mood might be:
one long moan about work/careers
or boring eulogy on the exploits and achievements of dss
or quick enthusiastic summary of all our fab trips and holidays this year.

Swedes2Turnips1 · 05/12/2007 11:46

Wouldn't it be marvellous if people provided an honest account of their year?

Pam had an affair in February with the line-dancing teacher but after counselling, where Malcolm finally addressed his impotence, we are now making a go of our marriage and working on our problems together. In July, we had a shitty holiday in a shitty studio apartment not very near Denia. We ate better food on the Easyjet flight than we managed to find the whole week in Spain. Lily (now 14) has given up the flute and has almost given up school. She is an ungrateful emo. Charlie (now 7) did not get a proper part in the nativity, he was asked to be a sheep and stand right at the back and not say a word. He has got issues associated with the near collapse of our marriage but we are working on it. Neither of us have been promoted this year, nor are we likely to be promoted next year. Work is a complete pain in the arse in fact. Pam throws far more sickies than she ought. Isn't Corrie good at the moment?

lou33 · 05/12/2007 11:46

mine would be utterly depressing, i wouldnt inflict it on you in case you lost the will to live

onebatmother · 05/12/2007 12:09

lol swedes. Tho v glad to hear malcolm's managing to keep his pecker up.

Kathyis6incheshigh · 05/12/2007 12:24

"Apologies if we've got some of your names/addresses wrong - our address book was a little bit singed when ds set fire to the living room! I'm sure most of you will have seen us on The House of Tiny Tearaways in the summer. It was very interesting being part of a television programme and seeing what goes on behind the scenes. The hate mail has almost stopped now."

Actually mine will just say:
Kathy still wasting hours on Mumsnet. MrKathy's cholesterol still high.
DD and DS growing into delightful children who knock the hell out of each other all the time.

Prunie · 05/12/2007 12:55

Oh god no, I will be glad to see the back of this year to be honest.
We moved on to better things but vast swathes of it were just totally emotionally draining and we are skinter than we have ever been.
Onwards and upwards eh?

DumbledoreWithBoughsOfHolly · 05/12/2007 12:59

I often do one. It is easy for me to find something to say about each month because I have 4 children. One of them has always broken a limb, passed an exam or started a new enterprise.

If I didnt have my 4 bundles of joy, I don't think dh and I would have anything to write (or maybe we would? maybe without ferrying children hither and thither we would have time to do some interesting things ourselves!)

Swedes2Turnips1 · 05/12/2007 13:08

2008 Round Robin from Pam and Malcolm
We have been exploiring wife-swapping, just in our cul-de-sac. Norman, opposite, has a thing about Briggs and Stratton mower engines which Pam finds very boring but Dave at No. 3 is an enthusiastic spanker. Pam is happier than she has ever been and no longer line-dances to Jolene in front of the mirror in the bedroom, wearing her stetson.
