DIY advent calendar for men

Hi everyone, new to this topic - very glad I've found my people, no-one I know will talk to me about Christmas yet!

So this is similar to a recent thread but aimed at the opposite sex - I'm making DP an advent calendar and need ideas for little gifts to go inside. The boxes are small - probably 4x4 cm? They just about fit a lotus biscuit on diagonally so that's one thing sorted. Last year I did nespresso pods, little biscuits/mini cookies/mini chocolate fingers, lindor balls and hot chocolate with mini marshmallows. I'll reuse some of those ideas but want it to be a bit different. I'm thinking of adding in some small presents like cufflinks etc. Has anyone else got any ideas for small gifts/treats for men? Ideally individually wrapped if food based.

i have been doing an advent for DH for a few years now. Some ideas for small gifts: a pocket fire starter, mini spirit level keyring, whistle, carabiner clips, lego mini figures and pin badges (star wars for my obsessed DH), beanies variety coffee sachets, mini japan kitkats in unusual flavours, chocolate brussel sprouts :)

So far I have hot sauce and whisky minis (and some books but that’s a bit large for your boxes). DH plays a game online, so I will probably get him a voucher for it to have on 6th December, which is when the St Nick arrives here in Germany. If I come up with anything better I shall let you know.

I do this for DS and DH. Using Tiger Tiger boxes or paper bags with numbered stickers.

One is sent off to 20yo some living away so his includes head of garlic, fruit and knob of ginger in the earlier days as well as cooking spices.

That's such a nice idea. Can I ask how you make the box? I'm not very good at that sort of stuff... can you buy one pre-made?!

I went online and ordered aftershave samples and samples of creams. Christmas Eve one was an amazon voucher
