How many Christmasses do you have in your house?

I've remarried so we take it in turns as to where the kids are for Christmas each year. This year they're at their dads so we've got DD2 (now 3 months) all to ourselves until the evening. It works out that they'll be at home next year which is when DD2 will notice more of what is going on...

When they're at their dads, we end up having 2 christmasses really - Christmas morning for us either at home or at my parents, then the kids come home and get their presents from my parents. Then, we do a 'replay' and pretend its Christmas all over again and Boxing Day becomes Christmas Day with the stockings and everything.

Not sure how thats going to work out in future years now we've got DD2 though!

How do you do it, especially if you've got a 'step family'? Just curious as I love to hear how different we all are!

well we have a few xmas days here- in fact we had one yesterday as DH's mum and grandparents came up from london to visit the grandkids.....then we have one on xmas day as normal, and as my dad normally works xmas day we then have a xmas day on boxing day with them!! so that'll be 3 this year, my dad got xmas day off the last 2 yrs so it was just the 2, but this year he's working....though our 2dc's are only 20mths and 3yrs so they would take that long to open that amount of presents anyway!!- our xmas when ds was 1 its his birthday on the 21st, it took him till xmas eve to open all his birthday pressies, and then took him till new years day to open all his xmas pressies!! so xmas felt like it lasted 2 weks really!!haha!!
