We have in our extended family, quite a few little ones. All primary age or younger.

Looking for inspiration! It is a mix of girls and boys.

If people ask me for ideas for my 3 and 5 year olds I suggest specific books or themes of books, clothes (pyjamas and underwear always popular!!), age appropriate orchard games, bubbles, toy cars or marbles. I wouldn’t suggest soft toys or Julia Donaldson books.

Thanks number. Those are all good ideas!

If you’re looking for more substantial then teasets are popular with both my girls, we have a few sets but they all get played with and are very loved. My 3 year old would love anything with diggers on (but not clothes unless you can find girly diggers!).

My 2 (DS8 and DD5) love Lush bath bombs and always ask for them for Chrisrmas and birthdays. They're both creative so now they've outgrown the basic kids stuff they really appreciate decent art and craft supplies like sharpies, quality paints, brushes and colouring pencils, air dry clay. Learn to draw books too. They both enjoy lego and card and board games.

When they were younger, Play Doh and tools for it, Duplo, add ons for the wooden train track and Orchard games always went down well.
