I always leave it too late and miss getting their wrapping paper etc, so I want to get in early this time. Anyone know when they start selling online?

When it arrives in their warehouse. I doubt they know. They don't know when any of their other stock is arriving...

Was just musing incase anyone remembered when it arrived last year, or working there they are told Christmas goes out on xx date etc

I have friends who work there. They honestly don't know when anything is coming in at the moment. They are totally clueless as everything is getting delayed left, right and centre due to staff off sick and haulage / Brexit issues.

Not much is coming in on time apparently.

@GratedRed Same here! I miss the wrapping paper every year. It’s always sold out by the time I go.

Our local IKEA tends to go:

Day 1: nothing
Day 2: nothing
Day 3: everything
Day 4: only one single pattern left - 3000 rolls of wrap in this pattern
Day 5: as per day 4
Day 6: Christmas packed away

I went yesterday, they already had some Christmassy stock - wrapping paper, candles, lots of red and gold - and it looked like they were rejigging the store for a proper Christmas department.

@BernadetteRostankowskiWolowitz that’s the best description I have ever seen! 👏 👏 👏
The nicest Kraft wrapping paper I ever bought was from IKEA years ago and I keep hoping they’ll bring it back in. Also having to order online.

@RedToothBrush everyone is getting totally hammered and the public line is still it’s all gravy. I hope people are being nice to your friends in work as it’s not their fault.

I went to IKEA last week and there was so much stuff missing

Wilko is good for plain brown paper rolls. I think they are £1 a roll.

Costco paper is good quality and thick with cutting grid lines at the back.

WHSmith is the same with cutting grid on the other side of the paper.

If you have huge or awkward objects like tv's & bikes to wrap, use Christmas paper tablecloths.
