bought, on behalf of MIL, a lovely wicker pram from Letterbox. it was £35 and perfect for my 10mo niece, just the right height and sooo pretty! we'd spent hours scouring the web looking for the perfect gift for her (both only really know how to shop for boys iykwim)

just checked her account because it hasnt arrived (ordered it on the 21st nov) and it is "awaiting stock". Im fecking furious. no sign of it being out of stock on the website. spoke to someone in their customer care who didnt even know it was out of stock, let alone whether it would be despatched in time for christmas. what can i do? does someone know where else i can find one?

I know you can get (new) wicker type prams on Ebay if that's any help? What a PITA.

If it's for a 10mo, maybe if it's a little late arriving it's not so bad - I mean, she is too young to know. Does this online place have a shop though? Maybe if it's not too far you can go up?

no, its letterbox. its njust this is her first christmas and MIL was really looking forward to watching her open it. plus getting it a week after christmas just isnt the same is it? im so cross about it. they didnt even say it was out of stock in the confirmation email!

This is why I hate Boden - they send you the catalogue - you order and then are told that it's 8 weeks until it comes into stock

But with Boden, if you order online you can see if it is out of stock or low stock. I recently ordered a set of bowls from Cucina online - again no mention when I ordered it of it being out of stock. They then sent me some different bowls (but not what I wanted) beacuse the ones I ordered were out of stock. They never e-mailed me to check whether I wanted a substitution. So then I had to phone them up to get a free returns label sent, then go to the Post Office to send the wretched bowls back!

Letterbox are a total nightmare IMHO.

They did just the same to me except it was a pirate ship, it just didn't turn up and I'd been waiting. I could have ordered it elsewhere in the meantime. They gave me £10 credit (not off my current order I must add) errrr great, except I have no intention of ever using them again

Does it have to be exactly the same as the one you've shown as I've seen loads of other lovely whicker and wooden prams.
