Christmas dinner alternative to roast dinner

I've massively gone off roast dinners. DH loves them and makes them pretty much every week all year round. DCs also dislike them!

I need to think of an alternative which will please all of us. Most likely will just be us this year, but possibly some of my family who are low maintenance and eat everything... except the vegan, but that's another issue!

Last year we went for haggis (or veggie haggis if you prefer), veg, mash, gravy and a few trimmings to make it Christmassy (since burns supper isn't far after and is a big deal!) I like a choice of roast veg, little puff pastry squares, and some stuffing. Some other years I've done a steak pie with trimmings although that's more of a New Years Day tradition.

A Nutella Christmas tree dusted with icing sugar, served hot out the oven with ice cream is so simple to make it's ridiculous. I use ready roll pastry. It cooks so quickly and is best straight from the oven. It's the simplest festive show-stopper I know. Why make things more difficult at Christmas? Keep it simple.

I've also seen these decorated with Smarties "baubles".

I’ve been trying to move us away from a roast…I’ve ditched turkey (because I don’t like it and therefore don’t see why I should bother!). We’ve had beef, salmon, last year a chicken. DD is now veggie so we may make the full shift this year

I'm NHS so shifts often mean random
Christmas dinners .
I've had BBQ (it was snowing ) Chinese , curry, buffet etc. One favourite is slow cooker beef brisket , pepper / wine type sauce and then whatever veg you fancy !
