Excited! What Christmas activities have you booked?

We’re up north so we’ve booked the light trail at Dunham Massey. I’m ridiculously excited even though it’s three months away Grin

MyNameForToday1980 · 04/09/2021 23:57

Saw your post, booked some tickets for us too! SO EXCITED!!

MyNameForToday1980 · 05/09/2021 00:23

In hindsight that ^ sounds stalkier than it was meant to. Apologies!! I was just excited there were tickets left, I'd presumed they'd have sold out by now.

Oh I’m jealous! I booked to go to Kew for the first time last year but it got cancelled. I’m due in December/January and feeling very ill so might go to Blenheim instead as it’s really close. Just hoping there are tickets available nearer the time.

WreckTangled · 05/09/2021 11:45

We went to Kew last year, was pretty good! We parked nearby using the just park app.

SayItBackwards · 05/09/2021 12:00

Lovely, I'm so jealous.
I live in the NW so unless we incorporate it into a few days in London (and all the £££ that entails) an evening trip to Kew is not really doable.

So..... now I'm toying with a Christmas trip to London (I was planning on going to York) but to also include The Nutcracker, assuming it's going ahead. Just got to break the news to DH who for some irrational reason hates London 🙄

IsItMeOr · 05/09/2021 19:00

Well done getting tickets - they're all sold out for me Sad

We are going to try Glow at RHS Wisley instead. Never been to either before, so hopefully will be good.

AlvinSimonTheo · 05/09/2021 19:20

I've booked the reindeer enchanted safari thing in Mold and combined it with a plan to visit Chester Christmas markets. Can't wait

Geamhradh · 07/09/2021 09:03

I booked last year but of course it was cancelled. Also booked Harry Potter. We've been before but not when Hogwarts is all snowy.

🤣🤣🤣

Also not a stalker...but tempted to look for tickets too! I live quite nearby.

TornadoTrinity · 07/09/2021 12:30

Haven't booked Kew, but I have booked pantomime tickets! V exciting. We've never actually done it with DCs, as they're young.

WhatWouldTheDoctorDo · 07/09/2021 13:08

OP your post reminded me I'd been looking at tickets but not booked - only just managed to get tickets for when I wanted, so thanks for this post!

FizzyPink · 07/09/2021 13:11

We do Kew every year and love it. Always book a Sunday evening and go for a lovely roast beforehand. I highly recommend the Rock & Rose if anyone is looking for somewhere for dinner in the area and strongly do not recommend The Shaftesbury after a horrendous meal there last year.

Incywinceyspider · 07/09/2021 15:35

Dunham Massey and the Lanterns at Chester zoo for us. I can't wait. DS will be 2 and is utterly obsessed with lights. He'll love it.

EsmeeMerlin · 07/09/2021 16:06

I have Christmas carols at the royal Albert hall booked with ds1, my nan, aunt and cousin. I am not planning on booking anything else. Ds2 is only 3 and about to start his first term at nursery. I think he will likely be tired and I find with young children sometimes less is more.

AlvinSimonTheo · 07/09/2021 16:23

Just booked Chester zoo too Grin

Has anyone booked any ice skating yet? I can seem to find any info about when the London ones go on sale. I quite fancy Somerset House combined with a walk around London to look at the lights

RonaldosShirt · 08/09/2021 16:51

I've just booked a Christmassy train journey. Did consider a Polar Express type one but think my kids are slightly too old, so have gone for an illuminated train. Lots of bright lights and Christmas music while chugging along on a steam train!

Gazelda · 08/09/2021 17:15

We've got Waddesden Manor booked.
And panto.
And we've got Nutcracker booked for New Year.
Panto and nutcracker were booked for Christmas 2020, so they almost feel like free events!
