I have looked at Debenhams M&S John Lewis but haven't been especially impressed tbh. Any suggestions?

I am looking for gift box kind of presents, last year I think I bought a chilli lovers oil present, that kind of thing.

Boots? Lots of 3 for 2 - and I got dh a really good creme brulee set there for his birthday....

DarthVader · 02/12/2007 19:48

Out of interest, who do you give that kind of stuff to?

CharlieAndLolasMummy · 02/12/2007 20:53

oh god though. The thing with sainsbury's/boots etc is that most of us KNOW what is on 3/2 at them. I mean, on the offchance that we haven't been stood there trying to decide who would like a chocolate fondue set and who would like a VW van moneybox, they very kindly stick lots of adverts in the papers and, I imagine, on tv. So you buy one and EVERYONE knows you got it on 3/2 and is left wondering if they got the "free" one.

Just to chuck a spanner in the works ;-).

Having said that, thats what you want for the kind of present you are suggesting. Hmm.

I'd have thought www.amazon.co.uk was the obvious...look out for "before christmas" delivery pledges and make sure you aren't buying from marketplace instead

SenoraPostrophe · 02/12/2007 21:16

oh god, not amazon. dh placed an order a month ago (all showing as delivery within 4 days on the site) and the order still hasn't been despatched.
