Santa Express at Selfridges - ITS BRILLIANT!

We went yesterday with dd 3.6 and ds 2.5 and it was fab. It was the middle of a weekday admittedly, but it was really well organised, magical setting, great Father Christmas, practically free apart from £3 booking fee, and The Snowman books to take away.

Brilliant. DCS LOVED it so it comes with a high recommendation from the hoodlum house.

Which Selfridges?

mrsruffallo · 01/12/2007 19:54

There's only one isn't there?

Sorry ladies - it was the Selfridges in London, not Manchester or Birmingham (but perhaps they have it there too?)

'Twas great.

did you book in advance? I have been trying to book for 10th dec but all booked out. I know you can just turn-up but am worried queues might be horrendous....

Glad you enjoyed it - worth potential queue nightmare then?!

I did book in advance, but pretty recently. No queue nightmare (the basement of Selfridges was a COMPLETE nightmare though - skip quickly through the Christmas decorations section is my advice, Santa is not well signposted but is just through the wedding shop on the left hand side)

On Friday there were people turning up on the day and able to get in, and because its timed 'departures' of the Santa Express, you can book a time and then disappear. Not sure I would chance it though - it depends how tolerant your children are.

There is a buggy park just adjacent to Santa and you can put all your bags and buggy in, which is perfect.
