Grin
Matchmakers in the shops and tubs of sweets!!
And Home Bargains do great sweets for stockings!

I've been to b and m today and they have some Christmas chocolate in. The also had some nice Christmas foliage and candles too.

NoWordForFluffy · 22/08/2021 18:12

We don't really buy chocolates and sweets. We do buy savoury snacks though, which are obviously available all year round and I'm going to start to get from next weekend.

I buy M&S biscuits when they have their 2 for £6 offer.

Blossomtoes · 22/08/2021 18:13

Tesco has tubs of Christmas sweets now.

JaninaDuszejko · 22/08/2021 18:16

Supeemarkets sell ground almonds, dried fruit, alcohol, and chocolates all year round.

Iseeyoulookingatme · 22/08/2021 18:35

You can buy chocolates all year round, just check the dates. I've already got a few chocolate oranges put away for Christmas. I noticed Tescos have started putting the christmas tubs out. Also alcohol/soft drinks and dried stuff is always around

Squirrelblanket · 22/08/2021 18:47

You can buy chocolates, sweets and meat all year round. 🤔

ZNation · 22/08/2021 19:05

I know you can buy chocolates all year, I meant the fancy chocolates and Xmassy nibbles and gift sets that aren't sold all year

B and m etc already have christmas chocolate I'm stock and gift sets. I personally don't buy any as I can't seem to keep it until Xmas. So I don't buy chocolates etc till November.

B&M have these in stock. Mandatory Terry’s chocolate orange on sale everywhere all year.
gamerchick · 23/08/2021 12:04

B&m has its Christmas stuff out. I'm expecting it everywhere soon.

BiddyPop · 23/08/2021 12:40

I put money away on supermarket stamps at this point in the year (and earlier) - so that it is not a painful experience when I go out to buy these treats later in the year. Because a lot of the nice meats etc that we like are only available much, much closer to Christmas itself. So it means when I do see them, I can just get them straight away and not feel guilty.

FelicityPike · 23/08/2021 12:45

Several shops already have lots of Christmassy goodies on sale.

00100001 · 23/08/2021 14:29

Christmas is actually ruined because Terry's chocolate Oranges are fucking vile now Sad

Yeah but... they are always more expensive than the regular version for the very reason that they are in fancy Christmassy packaging.

Tell me about it? Greasy little bastards 🤮

BiddyPop · 23/08/2021 15:42

We've given up on chocolate oranges too. Leonidas orangettes can be bought in nice boxes, or you can ask for a large bag and just put them in a nice bowl at home (we buy €10 worth as a Christmas treat).

Myusernameisnotmyusernameno · 23/08/2021 15:46

Tesco have tubs of sweets

PoshWatchShitShoes · 23/08/2021 19:11

I need to make a note of those orangettes. Choc orange was vile when I tried it recently!!

MrsDThomas · 24/08/2021 11:24

00100001 · 24/08/2021 14:53

Orange Toblerone??? Shock

Charliebradbury · 24/08/2021 15:10

Cadbury are also bringing out mint chocolate buttons and fingers this year as well. If anyone is into mint chocolate. Personally I can't think of anything worse. However we got some mince pie chocolate digestives in asda yesterday and they are nice.

Raera · 24/08/2021 15:24

Has anyone seen any Christmas puds yet? I'm doing a belated "Christmas dinner" on Sunday, it's far too late to make one unfortunately.
