I'm thinking of doing something a bit different this year and doing a personalised 'family' goodie bag. Iv seen some cute hessian bags on Etsy which can be personalised and wanted some ideas of what to put in there. I was thinking a bottle of alcohol for the adults, maybe a family board game? Nice snacks/sweets does anyone else have any ideas? Thanks

Hands down the best family gift we received was everything to make ice cream sundaes (bar the ice cream itself).
Sundae glasses, long spoons, sauces, sprinkles, flakes, a jar of cherries.

Love the sundae glass idea!
Along the same lines what about stuff to make family breakfast - a waffle maker? Or egg cups, toast rack, griddle pan
What about matching socks?

We got an awesome gift once that was a treat breakfast bag…all the American cereals the kids would never be allowed, pop tarts and milkshake straws and then total luxury spreads and jams from Harvey Nichols. Plus toast rack and egg cups.

They had something like that in B&M the other day, they where about £5 each I think.

The best Family gift we ever received was a big Thornton’s hamper with lots of different treats inside it was amazing the kids still talk about it years on.

How about a cinema voucher, popcorn and sweets?

I've done a nice bowl with popping corn, (and more snacks for large families), bottle of wine and bottle of nice lemonade, and a board game or movie all fitted into the bowl. Has mostly gone down well.

Last Christmas I bought a friend a set of Christmas mugs, hot chocolate, marshmallows, the red and white striped popcorn tubs, microwave popcorn and a Christmas DVD and it went down a storm, especially as we were locked down so it was a nice opportunity to have a family movie night.
