Dd birthday is in January so we always struggle to come up with ideas for Christmas & birthday.
She has the usual phone, laptop etc. Only hobby is horse riding & she has the kit for that now. She likes make up but has quite a bit of that.
It seems to get harder as she gets older!
Any suggestions that have been a hit with your teen girls?

I buy mine books but she’s a big reader. Also bit of makeup (just started experimenting) and nice smelly stuff. Clothes are always a winner. What about a nice experience day?

GoodnightGrandma · 18/08/2021 07:58

Both my girls love an Oodie, and the fluffy PJ’s and socks from Primark

DifficultPifcultLemonDifficult · 18/08/2021 08:04

For this christmas I have bought my dd a life size skeleton, a whole bunch of clothes, a pogo stick and she would like an inflatable unicorn suit too, so will be getting that.

Last year she got a new wardrobe packed with clothes and shoes and a laptop.

For her birthday she got a camera and a whole setup with background, lights etc which she adores.

A sprocket was popular with mine a few years ago, Nike trainers, leggings, jewellery box, oodie, fairy lights with clips for photos, airpods, tv for bedroom, backpacks/bags, jewellery that's was a bit dearer than their usual Primark stuff, overpriced stuff from Urban Outfitters (I buy in the sale and put away - usually earrings, makeup bags, hats), journals, nice notebooks (Paperchase). I've 3 daughters and there's usually been a combo of above.

Some great ideas here! I'm adding them to the list. Thank you.

Dd is 15 this year but some hits from last Christmas:
Perfume
Foil scratch art set
Beauty hamper; sheet masks, make up remover, reusable make up remover cloths, fancy shower gel & body spray.
Exploding Kittens

Whatliesbeneath707 · 18/08/2021 20:57

I like the sound of the beauty hamper @IggyAce - thank you!

@Whatliesbeneath707 I put everything in a makeup bag, my dd loved it. This year I’ve been tasked with creating a tanning hamper.

Whatliesbeneath707 · 18/08/2021 21:03

Oh yes! A tanning hamper might be a good idea for her birthday! Thank you.

Probably a laptop as it's a good time to get one for school. The usual lounge wear, fluffy socks, hoodies, make up, body sprays, earrings, clothes etc

horseymum · 21/08/2021 09:37

Maybe try tickets to Olympia if she likes horse riding, it's amazing, a real Christmas experience with loads of different classes and novelty ones like dogs agility as well as the usual showjumping. The shopping is great too so she could choose something herself too.

Whatliesbeneath707 · 21/08/2021 10:25

The tickets are a good idea @horseymum Thanks - I will have a look.

Where did you get the skeleton?
emptynesy · 19/10/2021 10:57

I feel your pain. My twin girls are 15 in January, I have no idea what to get them for Christmas. They like to choose their own clothes, their bedroom is full of make up they hardly use already. Apart from a more expensive pair of earrings than their cheapy New look ones and the usual lounge wear/pj's I am stuck.

drspouse · 19/10/2021 16:36

One of my DN's is this age and we as a family love Exploding Kittens but I don't think they have it so I will get that for one of them. I usually get them a book each (one of them is working through the Noughts and Crosses series and the other likes arty type things so a coffee table type book) and maybe a similar game for the older one (I have not tried Cards against Humanity but I might check with DB that she hasn't got it yet).
