Buying my own Christmas stocking.

I don’t really get presents for Christmas. DH will get a few things but buys the same things each year (my perfume etc) and I know in advance what I will get. I give him a stocking of well thought out gifts.
I have just ordered a book I was after and that got me wondering whether to wrap it straight away when it arrives and put it in a Christmas stocking for me from me. I would add things to it and it would give me something to look forward to having at Christmas.
Am I silly or do you think it’s a good idea?

DP gets me lovely gifts, but not stocking type stuff.
I do him a stocking and this year is the second time I’ll be doing mine. I’ve bought a couple of really nice bath bombs, a couple of cocktails in tins. A nice Emma Bridgewater mug ( I’ve got him one in a different design) solid hand cream and some hotel Chocolat batons. I think I’ve stashed a few other bits]too but can’t remember what they are Xmas Grin

DH usually gets me lots of toiletries for my stocking. Not fancy stuff, but the stuff i use all the time. Last year Superdrug failed to deliver. This year he made me pick my own stuff from Amazon.

I think I will tell the girls to get him to give them £5 each to get me stocking stuff from the £ shop.

I miss not getting surprises,

I don't do stockings but I have bought myself some perfume and I've been wondering if I should wrap it up! It's nice to have something to open up under the tree. My kids are teenagers and my eldest knows what I want, so fingers crossed there!
