Lapland holiday this year

We've currently got a four day trip to Luosto booked with Canterbury Travels. DC will be 5 and (already FC sceptic) 8.

We've cancelled our foreign summer holidays for the last two years as we haven't been keen to travel abroad but if we're able to go to Lapland I think we probably will. I'm sooooooo excited at the prospect of going.

The summer weather is pretty rubbish here so I'm in full autumn/winter mindset.

I meant to say, is anyone else planning to go this year?

Us!!!! I really really hope it comes off. Pushed back from last year. We will have an almost 6 year old and 10 year old and I’m not sure eldest will still believe but I think it will still be magical. Also doing 3 nights in Luosto with CT!

Us too! Also to Luosto with CT. How are you planning on telling the kids? I’m thinking of waiting until we get to the airport and checked in just incase anything goes wrong, I’m such a worrier!

We're going early in December, not actually over Christmas. I'm really hoping it can go ahead.

We went to Luosto with CT in 2018 and it was spectacular!! Even I thought it was all real it was so magical…you’ll have an amazing time. Buy some duty free booze as it’s expensive and if you have a cabin it’s amazing to light the fire and snuggle in. Absolutely love Finland and desperately hoping it’s open for our Christmas ski trip 🎅

Rovaniemi for us, a few years ago now, but also with CT. Just the BEST time. My DC are all adults now, and very jealous of those going !

We are supposed to be but I'm so worried about covid ruining it so I'm thinking of postponing it again. What are you guys thinking?

I’m on the verge of booking the after Xmas trip because it’s twice as long for the same price, but I’m worried about the lack of Santa! There are private local companies that will do a Santa in the accommodation visit which is good… I’m so excited!

@Dmsandfloatydress, we've cancelled all our other foreign holidays since Covid but I really think we're going to go if we can.

Unless the big man is wearing a face mask....then I might think again!

Our friends went to an amber country on their summer holiday and it was all pretty painless for them so I'm hoping it'll be the same for us.
