Angel costume for an 8yo - well, just white clothes really

DS1 came home from school with a request for a costume for his school play "as soon as possible" ( got DS1's request (different school) about a fortnight ago with a date on (next Mon))

Anyway he has to have "any" white clothes -as if you had a whole range in your chest of drawers. Of course he has nothing beyond a school polo shirt. I guess a PE T whirt might do on top (?) but where can I find white trousers in a hurry?

Am I going to have to resort to the sewing machine and an old sheet? (and will that look c**p?)

Any thoughts?

what about white tracksuit bottoms or even pj's, tescos or asda maybe? even for girls? failing that could you cut a hole in the top of a pillow case and 2 arm holes and stick it over his head?!

Lots of white leggings around if you can persuade him to wear them

Clary · 30/11/2007 23:02

really? Are there white leggings? I guess he might be up for it.

A raid on tesco or Asda is indicated then. I'm thinking tights (which had occurred to me) will be a nono but leggings maybe.

Otherwise I had toyed with borrowing someone's cricket whites (!) not his as he doesn't play.

(Sigh) we had a note home today asking us to make sure our children knew the words to the songs. Only trouble is they havent sent any word home so unless he knows them I can't find out what they are. And if he knows them well then there's no problem, is there? doh!
