so ds wants underground ernie for christmas - do i get him the big expensive plastic sets and trains or the cheap die cast trains and some take along thomas track?

i need to order before everywhere is out of stock but i can't decide do i spend a fortune and get the big plastic trains and airport set or just get the little metal trains and some cheap thomas track for them to run on? anyone else buying this for xmas or already have it? any help gratefully received

thanks that is a good price

still not sure whether to get the plastic or the die-cast trains, feel he may possibly get more play value out of the die cast as the plastic ones are battery opperated, wheras the diecast are push along iyswim.

oh it's too confusing! does anyone already own any of these? are they any good?
