I need inspiration before we drown in a deluge of sylvania.

CountessDracula · 29/11/2007 10:27

oh yes me too

Have had to confiscate all small bits of sylvanian crap, she is left with semi naked animals and no cutlery, loo roll cover, bog brush, soap etc

I CANNOT BEAR IT!

Dh and I going to Hamleys tonight

pyjamagirl · 29/11/2007 10:28

dr who stuff
art stuff and a camera
she's a bit of a tomboy

CountessDracula · 29/11/2007 10:28

Yes I was thinking camera
she loves taking photos

Which one though?

pyjamagirl · 29/11/2007 10:30

I got one from klick it was 14.00 really good aswell I think it's on the website .

puddle · 29/11/2007 10:32

Dd had asked for the sylvanians baby playground thing. Which my mum will be getting her. But I don't want her to get any more than that.

At the moment her list says "lots of cute things' by which she means tiny soft toy animals

I am getting DD Magnetix. And a box full of art and craft stuff - loads of pipe cleaners which she is obsessed by, stationery, pens, a sellotape dispenser - she loves all that.
And some books. And a sticker making machine.
She just likes to scribble, scribble, scribble.

puddle · 07/12/2007 12:13

Sounds like my dd Rosa! She has loads of arty stuff already though and grandma is getting her a glitterator, heaven help us.

feetheart · 07/12/2007 12:13

A Vets kit - ie a little tool box containing Vets outfit, decent stethoscope and oodles of bandages, syringes, disposable gloves, etc that a friend has 'liberated' from work!!
She spends most of her time at home and school playing vets with a motley assortment of stuff.
I am, however, expecting the 'vet phase' to run out on Christmas Eve

merryfraise · 07/12/2007 12:14

My 5yr old DS is getting board games - junior scrabble, junior cluedo etc.. Thought they might be useful for the long winter evenings!

Hulababy · 07/12/2007 12:20

My 5yo DD is getting (from us, family or friends)

  • pink DS Lite
  • DS and Wii games
  • Disney Princess projector
  • fairy figures from ELC
  • digital photo frame
  • Pop to the Shops game
  • pixel chix car
  • rainbow art set
  • magnetix
  • jewelry box

I wouldn't buy any more SF stuff - I think she has enough, lol!

puddle · 07/12/2007 12:24

That looks like an impressive haul Hula. What are pixel chicks (should know this but don't)

we have a big family puddle, and DD is only grandchild/neice on one side, and one of just two on the other. Plus obviously an only child as well - hence number of gifts.

Pixel chicks are some electronic toy thingy. Not really sure. It came as the replacement after we sent out Polly Pocket back in the Mattel recall. It arrived in November so hung onto it as an extra for Christmas. I think you can buy houses that the car attches too (have asked my parents to look into these as they are £20 off in woolworths at the moment). I will know more about what they are and what they do come December 25th

puddle · 07/12/2007 12:36

Ok have just had a look at the pixel thingys. They look like a variation on tamagotchis.

From all relatives:

Fur Real Cat
Barbie in line skates
RC Roller Skating Barbie
Digital Arts & Crafts kit
Disgusting Digestion Kit (Horrible Science?)
Nail Bar thing
Piranha Panic game
books
Jelly Bean dispenser
Barbie learn to tell the time watch

luckily we have brainwashed her into thinking that Polly Pocket, Littlest PetShop and other things that have loads if fiddly buts are rubbish!!

rosybud · 07/12/2007 12:41

Good luck with the glitterator Puddle, my dd (5) saw that on tv and wanted it immeadiately. it looks like my worst nightmare!
I am getting my dd -
bike (pink, glittery, tassels etc. she has been riding her brothers tiny green bike)
101 dalmations vet kit
sparkly dress and tights

feetheart · 07/12/2007 12:44

rosybud - what is 101 Dalmations vet kit? Would like a look to see if we can add anything else to our (very made up) one

Hulababy · 07/12/2007 12:45

Forgotten - DD also getting a really pretty Flik Fak watch - all pink with little pretned stones on and pictures of a castle, fairies and princesses.

rudolphdoesntneedbratnav · 07/12/2007 12:46

Polly Pocket plane
Polly pocket animal sets
Microphone from ELC
Shrek 3 DVD
Books
Knickers
Socks
New PJs

Sure there is other stuff but can't remember

rosybud · 07/12/2007 12:49

Feetheart - it is in the Disney store, a little puppy in a bag with various 'medical' instruments for checking its health!
Also getting dd a watch and alarm clock - both requested by her although she can't tell the time yet!
