They have a tonne of Lego already. 😬 What went down well with your 6 year old boys last year?

What about a scaletrix?

LittleMowf · 08/08/2021 19:52

Following. My DS was 6.5 last Christmas and got a telescope. Which has barely been used thanks to the cloud we always seem to have!

My 6.5 year old is heavily in to hot wheels, but realise that’s a bit niche.
He loves marble runs so is getting Gravitrax for christmas

Other things i am thinking of that you may already have

  • nerf guns
  • an archery set for the garden
  • a basketball hoop
  • a football kit
  • we’ve avoided it so far but we cant be far away from Roblox and Minecraft stuff
  • has he got a 2 wheeled scooter?
  • is he in to dinosaurs? There’s some great jurassic world stuff in Smyths

My DD asked for an explorers kit at that age. Still loves it now (she's 8)

Scooters might be a good shout as they (twins) are fast growing out if their first ones. We’ve got the added bonus of January birthdays too (they’re six and a half now).
Basketball hoop they got for their 6th birthday. No interest in dinosaurs though… yet!
Thanks for the ideas so far! Think my dh would love a scaletrix!

A ukele is fun to play and not too noisy. Playmobil - the space set is amazing. Face paints - now they can paint themselves or each other.

Radio controlled car

If they like Lego they might appreciate the big hardback books like Lego ideas

I’ve linked to book depository because it’s easy to search but I’ve often found the older ones heavily discounted elsewhere. They’re really substantial and my Lego mad ds pores over them for hours.

@thelegohooverer love your user name! Those books look fab! Thanks!
