Struggling for DP's dad

I need the lovely Christmas boards help Smile. DP's dad is a vegan who doesn't drink and doesn't eat vegan chocolate (he avoids caffeine). There has never been a mention of him having any hobbies, he is always busy with his work.

Both DP and his stepmum say "He's impossible to buy for! No one knows what to get him". I'm glad he is content and doesn't seem to need anything, but I really would feel uncomfortable buying for everyone except him. I was thinking a diary with his initials on? Blush Help Sad

Does he cook? What about some great Vegan cookbooks and a fancy stand/quality kitchen items?

Ethical clothing?

A night or two in a fancy hotel?

Does he have a favourite restaurant? You could get vouchers.

Or an experience? You could get a couple one for your DPs Dad and Stepmum?

I love this board!! Thank you, I think you're both onto something with the experience and hotel / restaurant gifts Grin

The diary sounds good
Nice pen
Book or book voucher
Puzzle books
Beanie with torch or Bluetooth
Homemade hamper with little bits of everyday things he likes

Do people use diaries any more?

snowfairylover · 04/08/2021 15:34

@MySecretHistory I asked because I'm struggling for ideas

But no good buying a diary if he doesn’t use one?

If he cooks or has an interest in food then some really good quality ingredients: oils/vinegars/spices/dried chillies/truffles/tea/unusual flours - but really good quality, not just supermarket stuff. Sous chef has some good ideas. There are also some incredible vegan restaurants popping up (or already existing) so perhaps a voucher for one of those?

Books - autobiographies, biographies, fiction, non fiction, cookery

A charity gift - sponsoring an animal (but choose the organisation carefully since he's vegan), planting a tree etc

An experience - gliding, sea kayaking, foraging, star gazing.
