I am happy to have corrupted you, CCCC. Next year, let's not send cards or presents and all, but go to Paris for the weekend instead.

Hulababy · 03/12/2007 12:36

Sorted it yet Katz? Decided on which snap to use?

DD has designed out cards this year. They did it via school - she drew the picture, we paid the money and school had them turned into cards. Grandparents, etc. will like them. Don't really care about rest, they can like it or not.

Dear Patsy - until then, 8pm at the bus station tonight? You bring the ciggies and I'll bring the cider. Tell your parents you have a school project. CCCC

Lol @ Cod

Why bin THOSE and not ones that were cheap and thoughtless?

Please can you anti-kids-in-cards explain why is BAD without using the word "naff" please? Because I don't understand why it is bad, I really don't. I think it is lovely and funny and personal and I'd much rather have something like that than something churned out by the millions to make money for Marks and Spencers.

SantasSmartArse · 03/12/2007 13:17

I am a miserable bugger. I do think they're naff, so I wouldn't send them myself. But I quite like seeing other people's! Same with round robins. In a nutshell, I am a nosey fecker.

rookiemater · 03/12/2007 13:17

We had family cards made up last year as I have a lot of relatives that live abroad and wanted to show them what DS looked like.

One of Dhs friends (childless although not sure that has much to do with it) wrote "Nice Card !" actually it must have been something worse because it was very sarcastic and indicated that we were in very poor taste to send such a card. Clearly a close compatriot of dear old cod, are you as rude to people in real life ?

This year DH can write his own card to this "friend", which means he won't get one, and I will be putting in little stickers of DS from photobox for those people who I think would like them.

rookiemater · 03/12/2007 13:19

Oh and if its in bad taste then I don't bloody care, anyone with good taste will be polite enough not to mention it.

SantasSmartArse · 03/12/2007 13:19

Can't explain, MP. Was just brainwashed into wondering why on earth anyone would want to see photos of anyone else's DCs by own mother. But as I say, am self-confessed nosey parker so actually rather like it, but couldn't do it myself as "not the done thing"!

SantasSmartArse · 03/12/2007 13:21

I meant "my own mother", of course. (She didn't teach me to write properly, evidently!)

Why is it for "applause" ?

Do you do the same with home-made birthday cards? I assume that is for "applause" as well?
