They are a terrible fire risk and I think everyone needs to be aware

The same thing can happen to fake tree if you set fire to them or use dodgy lights.

I think they do burn pretty ferociously, but they don't spontaneously combust. So they're not more of a risk, although they are probably a bigger hazard.
