How many lights do you think I need for a 6ft tree?

Never had a proper big tree before but have treated well myself to a big 6ft one (fake can't do real with cats and toddlers) am going to buy some white LED lights for it, how many do you reckon I will need?

I haven't a clue theres 80, 120 or 240 surely 240 a bit excessive?

I've got a 6 ft tree and I would say 80 is enough, I;m sure that's what we;ve got. Anymore and you'll struggle to fit them all in!!

thanks just been looking at a website (can you tell I am bored today) and it says 40 lights per foot of tree, that would be 240????!!!!!!

I have an 8ft tree and i got a set of 400 lights, fits nicely !!

I have a 6ft tree with 240 lights - looks gorgeous.

My tree is a skinny one though so it goes from the top, all the way down and up a bit (although on a fat (normal) tree it would be fine).

I LOVE a tree to have loads of lights; that's why I went for 240.
