Have a lot of people for xmas this year so feel I should ditch the usual big tree as it takes up the whole bay window and means less seating.

I was just going to get a smaller one and put it on a table but quite like these slim fake ones but can't be doing with fake, can you get specially grown slim real ones?

yes !

We got one in homebase last year which was specially grown to be tall and thin. I was slightly disappointed because it looked artificial because it was slim and tidy !

PS - obviously this year I realise you should go to a local provider in order for it to be ethical/better for the environment but i didn't realise last year ()

OOH really? I have googled but not found anything

Can you remember what it was called?

Surely the smell gives away that it is real

Yes it does - an everyone kept saying how nice it was, which is was.... there's just something charming about a lopsided over bushy tree.

Can't remember what it was called - will ask DH if her remembers but it was in Kingston Homebase.

Oh I agree

If I had a much larger house I would still have a big tree! However I have 12 or 14 for the day so something has to give....

It was about 8 foot tall though - but I assume it came in smaller sizes too.

CountessDracula · 26/11/2007 17:36

oh I saw that but assumed it was fake!

Do you really think it's reaL

"Designed to" leads me to think it isn't

Fake I would think looking at the bottom.

CountessDracula · 26/11/2007 17:39

would rather have a small real one than a fake tbh
