A few people have asked me how they should thank the person who sent them something - can I suggest you post on here? Namechange if you want to remain anonymous, and remember that your donor won't know your MN name anyway - so maybe give some clues (ie "thank you for the lego and the chocolate")

Babyblue thank you, thank you, thank you for your gifts. What a lovely surprise to come home today from hospital with dd1 to find a HUGE box labelled for me to open. I never expected to be nominated at all.

Ive hidden dd1 & 2s stuff , how wonderful you thought of their ages with such a great collection of different things. My fave is the little ruffly pink sleeveless shirt for dd2 in the summer, very much her look.

I was amazed when I opened it, I cant believe the generosity. A massively unexpected surprise. Was a lovely thought after all these long old months with our families health amongst other difficulties this year. I feel most humbled and undeserving of it all. Nice bubbly though wow, look forward to that for New yrs Eve .

Dd1 will find all her new stuff great (may give some for chanukah and Christmas too) , as she has to be at home for 2 weeks in moderate isolation after surgery yesterday morning.

Have a wonderful Christmas Babyblue xxx

PeachysSanta · 06/12/2007 18:28

Chicken obsession, you say? I have a couple of other games your DS might like, will pop them in the post to you! Glad you liked the parcel and happy Xmas.

HonneyTheRedNosedBunny · 06/12/2007 19:09

veryhappy, you're very welcome! was starting to wonder what had happened to the parcel(posted on Mon 26Nov!). hope you and your dh like the books, even if there will be no more 'making babies' for you... (which i can fully understand, must be very busy in your household ). great that dd and ds2 liked the box: my two ds-s (almost 2 and almost 4) are sometimes more interested in the wrapping than the presents as well.
have a lovely Christmas!

SantaBABYBLUE · 06/12/2007 19:41

You're most welcome melsy. Have a lovely christmas

lazawreath · 06/12/2007 20:21

Sorry to hijack this thread a bit but I have some blankets, cribsheets, newborn fleecy suit, shawl etc that I am putting in the for free section. So if anyone is expecting or if you have boys up to 18 months there may be something you want. Am just about to put some other things on there

DanJARMouse · 07/12/2007 08:10

SWEETKITTY Thank you so much!!! You are a little star! I was very humbled to recieve your parcel this morning with brand new clothes for the girls and the boy! (Can I eat the choccy buttons though?!)

You are very kind, and because you outed yourself, Im outing you on here as being fantastic!

You have also helped so much with regards to support on the BF front, and have been a great pal over the past few years.

3 cheers for you! xxx

sleepycat - you are very welcome. Just glad it arrived okay - couldn't make head nor tail of the tracking info online, lol

Happy Christmas!

Hulababy · 07/12/2007 09:00

Ooops, name change did't work there. Oh well, never mind. Happy Christma sanyway

OrmIrian · 07/12/2007 09:31

Another parcel this morning! Can I just say to whoever sent us that parcel from Amazon, that you must be mind-readers! Because all the things in that box were things mine have wanted but we never got around to buying! Fantastic Thankyou.

somersetmum · 07/12/2007 10:20

OrmIrian, I think your Amazon parcel may be from me. It contains three toys for your three dcs and I think you may live vaguely near me? If so, you are very welcome. Merry Christmas. I am glad the mindreading skills worked as I was really worried about my choices.

sweetkitty · 07/12/2007 10:22

DanJARMmouse - you are very welcome, think of it more as a Christmas present for your family and a new baby present for D. I have bought so many baby boys clothes recently maybe it's my turn next? Just wish it could have been a bit more but glad you liked them and of course you can have the choccie buttons

mummyhill · 07/12/2007 10:26

Just reading this thread gives me a warm fuzzy feeling.

OrmIrian · 07/12/2007 12:35

Thanks Somersetmum! The pirate was something we had a few years back but it got broken and DS#2 kept asking where it had gone and DD has wanted a Bop It forever ... so all most gratefully received

mummyhill · 07/12/2007 12:55

Lapin - just sent you an email to the secret santa address.

Brandnewchristmaspyjamasgirl · 07/12/2007 13:10

I would just like to thank the lovely mumsnetter who has sent me a massive box of things for myself and DC.
In the box were green and blacks chocolates a brand new DVD and lots of other stuff I especially love the snowman and treasure island book my DD's will love the snowman and my DS will really appreciate treasure island .

I got so excited when I saw the massive box I started jumping up and down like a loon.

Thankyou so much and for the lovely cards aswell whoever you are you have obviously put much thought and effort into our gift.
I hope you and your family have a wonderful Christmas .

WhenScoobyGotStuckUpTheChimney · 07/12/2007 13:53

mm22bys · 07/12/2007 14:56

Hi, I wanted to say thanks very much to my secret santa. It was lovely of you to think of me (and the boys). They love the books, and I can't wait till DH is home, and the boys are in bed so I can have some pampering "me time".

They only arrived today, and I was so touched yes I was in tears.

A huge thanks again, and hope you all have a fantastic Christmas.

nameanon · 07/12/2007 15:18

Thankyou to my secret santa

I recieved a box yesterday morning with no clues to who you are, but there was 3 lovely M&S books and a gorgeous coat for ds, and some scrummy chocs for me.

Today i recieved a lovely disney princess scooter for dd, which she will love and funnily enough it is the same style as her bike we got for her last year.

I am pretty sure all this was off the same person, but i have no idea who you are.

Thankyou from the bottom of my heart xxxx

SneezingSlothSlurpingBroth · 07/12/2007 15:31

MoM...meant to say yesterday, the little small flat packet in your parcel..you may want to open before Christmas

TisASecret · 07/12/2007 15:38

Has anyone received gifts in a very strange box? [the only one I could find whilst dc were out]

I am getting a little worried that mine may not have been delivered.

vio · 07/12/2007 16:45

Hiya, Thanks GMM For telling me this thread, I just want to say THANK YOU...to fellowmumsnetters who sent me the present.

I have to admit that I watched too much telly 'REAL HUSTLE' so my first thought when I received an email asking me for my address was, this is a practical joke or something dodgy then I asked GMM AND WEEONION ( good friends from Mumsnet ) they told me it's genuine, don't worry but with so much in my mind i just totally forgot about it.. yesterday I got this present for me, wishing me Merry christmas with cash vouchers M & S & NEXT.. very nice of you becos I love NEXT & M & S.

A BIG THANK YOU FROM ME. I want to thank you to those who donate the gift and to those who made the effort to organise to send the present etc... I wish you all a very HAPPY CHRISTMAS.. I have to admit that i am not in very high spirits like most people would at this time of the year but your kindness does put a BIG SMILE on my face. Thank you very much again. Knowing that there are people out there thinking of me is lovely.

sockmonkey · 07/12/2007 16:47

Can I say thank you to the lovely mumsnetter who sent us a gift. It had no clues as to who it's from, but if you sent a parcel out with a sparkley christmas card taped to the bottom...THANK YOU!!!
