Simple party ideas for christmas party

Have decided to do ds's a small christmas party (we had one the other year and it was fab) only with a few friends but cant think of activity things for them to do. Gonna make some star and christmas tree biscuits for them to decorate, calendars which we will put their hand prints on but cant really think of anything else.

Ideas please.

pin the star on the tree?

make some cards - easy ones with glitter and stamps?

make decorations? Toilet roll fairy/paper chains or is that abit naff?

they will all be aged from 1 up to about 10 but there is only about 12 children and would rather do craft bits with them, but just not sure what they would like.

Paint a plate?

would it be naff to make napking rings from toilet roll holders???

Oh, that's a good idea! Then they can take them home to use for Christmas

Make a cracker each? You can buy snaps and things to go in them.

oooh yeah I bought the cracker kits the other year, anyone seen any to buy yet??

Like the idea of a napkin ring.
What about a placemat using felt and fabric paints? Or maybe that would be too pricey.
