You do know it's next month, not this month?

Oenophile · 23/11/2007 00:14

I feel the same! Both daughters coming home, one from her first term at university, and we are planning the most Christmassy Christmas ever - every candly, carolly, baubly, stockingy old cliche we can manage

MiaWallace · 23/11/2007 10:26

So glad I'm not the only one getting excited. There are too many threads on here with people saying that they can't stand Christmas.

I love it and can't wait.

CloudAtlas · 23/11/2007 16:26

I'm loving this year. It's the first that Ds (5 and ASD) has finally realised what's going on and what it's all about.
Someone remind me that I said this when he starts babbling about Christmas at the beginning of next November.

CloudAtlas · 23/11/2007 16:31

I've just got dowm the scarey advent elf thingie from the loft and have already made cards, we're half way through making some garlands. Am I going mad?

I love it too. Children 4 and 1.5yrs so first one will be SO excited and the youngest will love having everyone gathered and the paper!

nojopo · 23/11/2007 22:15

Parents are coming to us for the first time. Christmas in our own home , with a tree that won't be dried out and dead as we've left it to trawl around relatives for 2 weeks. 18 month old being cute in a santa hat. Cooking what we like to eat for Christmas dinner and eating it at our table. Ice skating on the heath....I am soooo excited this year I am even loving the christmas ads being on telly already. [GRIN] And I must stop buying Christmas decorations.

FozzieKbear · 23/11/2007 22:29

I keep getting that eeeek feeling about Christmas, all excited and that. Then I remember that I haven't actually done anything towards it or bought any presents yet and it is only November still.

Yearning for a mince pie but mustn't peak too early!

LadyOfWaffle · 23/11/2007 22:33

no no no no no, it's still November La la la laaa la

bossybritches · 23/11/2007 22:36

Love it!!

So nice to be able to wallow in the Christmas cheer with you all instead of reading about all these Bah humnbugs who hate it!!

umma · 24/11/2007 21:53

me too, had just given birth last year so passed me by in a crazy, emotional blur! This year can't wait!!

amytheearwaxbanisher · 24/11/2007 21:56

i already have my tree up

carries · 25/11/2007 21:48

I love Christmas. And am organised. Got both DDs' presents but will probably end up buying more.

We put a pink Christmas tree up in DD1's room yesterday, she loves it!

I LOVE CHRISTMAS

MiaWallace · 25/11/2007 23:46

I have the same problem carries.

I love Christmas so much that I start buying presents at the beginning of September.

In theory my shopping was all finished by the end of October.

The problem is I keep seeing things I know dd would love and can't resist buying them.

It will take her until Christmas 2008 to open all her presents
