I loooove Christmas and thought I might treat myself to a new CD this year. Any favourites that you care to share out there!?

What sort of music do you like - genre, specific singers, etc. More info about your musical tastes in general will help direct you toward something you might enjoy.

When I lived in Dubai, I needed a bit of christmassy cheer, but cds of that nature were a bit thin on the ground. I ended up buying 'Merry Christmas Love Frank (Sinatra) and Bing (Crosby)' in desperation for about 10 dirhams (£2). I love it! It's so Old Hollywood, it's lovely. Like 'It's A Wonderful Life' in musical form. I couldn't for the life of me buy a cd containing any of the following:
Merry Christmas (War is over)
Last Christmas
Merry Christmas Everyone (a la Shaky)
I Wish It Could Be Christmas Every Day

Reminds me of traipsing around christmas shopping and hearing them in EVERY SINGLE shop.

The Mariah Carey Christmas album is a very good one for getting in the Christmas spirit. It was released over 10 years ago, and the cover has a picture of her kneeling in the snow in a red Santa Suit - long before she turned into the exhibitionist stripper/party girl she seems to be now.
