Aesthetically pleasing baby doll?!!

I'd like to buy my 2 year old daughter a baby doll for Christmas, but all the ones I've seen are so ugly and plasticky looking! Does anyone know where I can buy a nice one? I've got my eye on a lovely wicker crib - just need to find a lovely doll to go with it!

Not sure such a thing exists - but at least this will bump the thread for you

Hi,
Have you looked at the Kathe Kruse dolls, they are handmade in Germany and are gorgeous, maybe a bit pricey but if you look around you should find a good pricex

dd's first doll was a Corolle one - Amazon stocks them. They're less icky than most, and the range for younger children has a soft bean-bag body so they're cuddlier.

Second Bink's suggestion of a Corolle. Not sure if it's the case with all of them, but dd's is somehow infused with a vanilla scent (which still persists even though the doll is 3 or 4 years old). The scent seems to make the doll extra cuddly/soothing than others. It's far and away dd's favourite.

Thanks everyone, the Corolle dolls are much more what I had in mind, they look much nicer. Will add to dd's Christmas list!
