We have just bought ours from Amazon Germany who still have stock and, being Germany, ultra efficient, delivered within a couple of days. All you need to do to get them to work is change the plug.

Hope that helps anyone who's desperate.

oh cool - were they more expensive and do they have wii play I wonder.......off to rummage! oh - how do i get on to amazon germany???

PutThatInYourPipeandSmokeIt · 16/11/2007 13:34

don't worry found it - will the wii play work over here?? I need help!!

NotQuiteCockney · 16/11/2007 13:38

Regular German Amazon doesn't ship wii consoles to the UK any more - at least as of when I tried on Tuesday or something. Maybe their marketplace does ...

Bumblelion · 16/11/2007 13:41

I went into our local HMV yesterday and they had had a delivery, although all sold out.

They are expecting another delivery next Thursday and told me to be there when the shop opened (unlikely to happen because of school run). They said I could also ring up in the morning and they would reserve one for me as long as I picked it up before noon.

Have told DS that he probably will not be getting one for Christmas but hopefully will for his birthday in February but if I can now get one, it will be a nice surprise for him.

curlywurlycremeegg · 16/11/2007 13:46

Scan computers have them coming in thick and fast, pre ordered mine on 6th Nov and it is due in on the 16th. Might be worth giving them a ring if anyone is looking for one website is here

NotQuiteCockney · 16/11/2007 13:49

They're charging £235, which is over the odds, although not obscenely so. (Amazon in europe is charging more like £180.)

goingfor3 · 16/11/2007 13:53

£235 is ridiculous. I can understand some shops only selling the Wii's as bundles becuase they are business's and it makes sense to make some money on the games but to charge £55 more than RRP is not on!

curlywurlycremeegg · 16/11/2007 13:54

NQC, scan are? oh I didn't pay that much

curlywurlycremeegg · 16/11/2007 13:56

ah just looked, that package has remote and numbchuck, no idea how much they are as add ons though, will investigate

curlywurlycremeegg · 16/11/2007 13:58

the remote is £29.99 and the nunchuck is £15, no idea what they are used for though

goingfor3 · 16/11/2007 13:58

The remote and numchuck come with the Wii, all wii's are sold with one of each and wii sports.

Hulababy · 16/11/2007 14:01

Keep checking here

Find out when delivery day is at your local stockists, such as Game. And be then before the shop opens that day.

Check Amazon regulaly. Last year they had the odd one come in stock on and off in the run up to Christmas.

curlywurlycremeegg · 16/11/2007 14:01

oh, I am soooo confused, thought the standard package was just the wii, one controler and the wii sport....this is so bloody confusing, been trying to get one for DS1 since end of Sept as it was for his birthday, am becoming baffled!!

goingfor3 · 16/11/2007 14:03

The remote is the controller and the numchuck is added onto the controller for some games such as boxing.

Bumbelion, my dd's birthday is feb also and we'd told her exactly the same thing. It's about the only advantage of having a birthday so soon after Christmas!

andif · 18/11/2007 22:11

We are planning to get one in Australia while out there at Christmas, but need to know if it will work in UK?
