If I had £10 - £20 I'd buy something that he'd enjoy using with his parents etc - like a kite - it gets kids out, its great fun and he can go out with his mates with it.

wind up torch, multi tool, binoculars, pirates of the caribbean dvd, Simpsons movie dvd, guiness book of records.Some of the things my ds 9 will be having for Christmas.

My 9 year old has money and a couple of ds games on his christmas list and that is all, but they are specific nintendo games. He also wants some new sweatshirts (but cool ones, whatever that is!)

Mine's a bit of a dandy and doesn't mind clothes too much (which is just as well as that is all MIL ever buys him)

agree, money seems to suit ds1 nowadays although I'm trying to get some presents too. I got an electronic sudoku game as he is a smart arse, a game called safari rush hour [?] and a couple of books, which he will not thank me for but still.
DVD's and ps2 games will probably finish the job.
Oh and chess as he is a geek

we ahve rush hour and it is brill

there are also simailr ones - River Crossing and Tip Over

we always take those on hol and everyone becomes addicted all over again

i think i am so agaianst the money cos my 2 end up buying crap and altho' i think it is important that they make theri own misdtakes with money, i feel it isn't fair to make those mistakes with someone elses money.

books are always a big hit here TM - as long as one of them is the Beano annual
