it was his birthday a few weeks back, i got him a couple of books this year.

i am bored of buying him clothes, altho they are welcome because they don't have school uniform.

He likes tornados, mystical stuff, star wars, things that light up. He has a type of adhd and loves patterns, lights, um, he is really sensitive too.

thats goog, that, must ask my freind if he has anything similar.

Might be a good idea to send direct from amazon usa. Would i be able to create an account seeing as i am a UK citizen, or can i use my sign in name for the uk account. OR friend has an account i could re emburse her but that seems a bit naff!!

Definately order from amazon.com rather than .co.uk as not only will it get delivered directly to your friend but it will be really cheap as you will purchase it in US dollars. I have a friend in the US and I have been able to buy some fantastic gifts for him(he's alot younger than your friends ds though so I have no ideas!)

yes have bought stuff via my mate, over the past few yrs for dd, much cheaper, and had her pay and then send to me, for which i have reimbursed.

I also recommend amazon.com for pressies to the US!

I recently bought a load of children's presents from barnesandnoble.com - they are a bookshop in the US but also do fab creative toys. You can search by age and type of toy. Also, it's a US site so in cheap, cheap dollars. You could try the 'klutz' brand for craft type things.

ah my friend spends alot of time in Barnes and Noble, thats a god idea, will have a looky.

Top Trumps cards - my DS (just 9) loves them and they are easy to post!
