We are getting a digital phot frame for dh's parents. They look fab

leggylil · 13/11/2007 13:15

you could always do a "gift" basket of some of their fave things/hobbies.

mellyonion · 13/11/2007 13:44

sounds like my mum and dad, (but they do like my kids!)

they just had for their 40th wedding anniversary gift vouchers for the theatre...they were really pleased...you can spend as much or as little as you like, and use them to see whatever you choose....

or on the same theme..vouchers for a garden centre, or national trust or similar?

hth.

I'm getting a digital photoframe for my birthday on Saturday. We got my mum and MIL both a digital photoframe so they can watch all of their granddaughters pics.

easy to use yes! I can use it and I'm no electronic whizz.

How about a subscription to conde nast traveller? or another lovely travel magazine? Plus a case of wine if you feel you need to spend a bit more?

lemonaid · 13/11/2007 13:57

Do they like gardening? Some kind of rose bush or fruit tree, perhaps? (December probably not the best time of year, but presumably you can get gift cards for the trees to be delivered later)

Depends on where they live but how about an aerial photo of their house/street/town?

We did this for the IL's a few years ago and it was a great hit.

dmo · 13/11/2007 14:10

see i knew mumsnet would give some good ideas going to show dh tonight
thanks

I just suggested a digital photoframe to DH for his parents, and he said no because they eat batteries. Is he right in any way, shape or form?

magnolia74 · 13/11/2007 16:29

They will use batteries if on constantly but then recgargables would be more cost effective in the long run.
