DD in reception alleges she is Mary, so while I'm signing in now, I may sign out tomorrow when I find she has the wrong end of the stick, but she is doing her best pregnant poses and singing so much her voice is hoarse.
I wept when ds1 (now 13) was a king many moons ago...
I am in fear about what emotional reaction may overcome me this year.
So spill who is what and are there any adverse maternal reactions and snide comments abound?
I am (if dd is right) fully expecting the
" oh they gave it to her because she has SN" reaction...
oh the politics....

DD 2 is an innkeeper, has to do a song and dance routine with the other 5 innkeepers. Only had to provide a white t-shirt which she reminded me about every bloody day last week. Bought it at the weekend to be informed she wasn't doing the play as there "is no way I'm standing on stage in a t-shirt and pants" Took ages to convince her the school was providing the rest of the costume. I hope. DD1 was Mary a couple of years back. She was so excited about being "the star". She got the (non-speaking) part as her speech was so bad only me and my mum would have understood her, ditto the singing. Dancing was also out as she had mobility problems and would have caused chaos in the chorus line. She still managed to fall off the step. Everyone thought she was magnificant

DS1 is Joseph in the year 1 nativity (there are 90 children aged 5 and 6 in his year).
The slip he brought home said his costume should be a dressing gown and tea towel but I've gone and bought him a proper Joseph outfit.

DS2 is not Joseph he is so disappointed and I'm really sad for him. He is going to be a shepherd. The boy who is Joseph is a good reader and DS2 isn't and there are lots of lines to learn so I guess that might be why.

School really sucks sometimes.

I was Mary in primary school. The navy dress got for me (by the school) had sewn in cups in it. Everyone kept coming up and going ' oh, boobies!' and pushing them in. They got took out.
