Do you think this is an ok present for DDs 3-4 year old friends?

I got 10 books for £10 at the Book People so was planning on 1 book each.

Plus, I am hoping to get 1kg of jelly beans and then split into baby food jars, covering with some nice material & ribbon, and writing their name on a hand drawn label.

So, a nice (but cheap) book and a little 'homemade' jar of sweets.

Is that ok or is it obviously cheap?

Sounds lovely. I posted on here a while back about dd1 (12) wanting to buy loads of her friends presents and me thinking it could easily get very expensive. We have compromised and she's chosen them all a nice, but cheap, mug, which we're filling with hot chocolate sachets, marshmallows etc and homemade shortcake and then wrapping in cellophane. She seems happy with this and so am I!!!

Much better than plastic tat or cheap lipgloss etc!
