What to get a 6 year old niece?

She has a birthday a few weeks before Christmas so I need lots of ideas. Niece herself, when asked, requested Bratz stuff but they are horrible and SIL doesn't approve anyway.

Daren't risk books or DVDs as she has so many I'm bound to duplicate.
SIL says no clothes.

Want to spend about £20 on each gift.

Last year, my 7 year old neice had a 'girls night in box' I covered a box in wrapping paper and filed it to the top with things like face packs, foot scrubs, hair stuff, plastic nails, bobbles, hair glitter, slippers, pj's, you get the picture! She absolutely loved it and has asked for another box this year!

What a fabulous idea! She is a very girly girl, and loves to play with make-up etc.

Job done then! Have fun filling it! I started today. Wilkinsons is very good for little bits. Just head for the pink, fluffy section! They've got a lovely little door hanger in there too, just perfect for a little girl!

My dd is coming up 7 and loves Barbie, Polly pocket etc. Last year she enjoyed Mousetrap and twister. This year she wants don't wake dad.

We are doing whole family presents this year - gift vouchers for local playzone for one and cinema vouchers for another. We spend a tenner on each adult and 15quid per child so I'll just get the family's worth in vouchers. The point is we are giving them quality time together (or with kids occupied LOL.)

My dd (6) would love a girly box, I might do one for her actually.

A craft box?

Coloured paper, glue, coloured matchsticks, little notepads, gel pens, stickers, clipboard etc ...

My dd is 7 and just can't get enough of this sort of thing.

All great ideas. A craft box would suit her older sister more, I think.

She has oodles of Barbie and Polly Pocket stuff already. Not sure if sny more is needed.
