Xmas presents ideas please.....for an (will be) 8.9yrs old girl?

My DSD is so hard for us to buy bdays and Xmas

She only into books, writing, make up and clothes..thats it as she had never been into Girlies stuff all her life (and never boys)

i bought her a barbie head doll so she could style the hair and put clips in....she didnt open the box till 3 months later and had only played it once...my DD now played with it all the time so its not getting wasted!

Shes not into colouring stuff, making things, she still got her camera from last year that had not been opened...prob never!, (She had got roller blades and a bike)...she doesnt playing games that she will lose or she will never play with you again!..

ideas please??

but there is 1 game i can think of that she will like is Scrabble.....i think!!

she is not into dolls either!

it is best just to get her some vouchers???

Subscription to magazine? not sure what age it goes up to but national geographic kids is popular here. If you want to pad it out you could also maybe sponsor a small animal at a local zoo (dunno how much that costs though)

What about those knitting for beginners sets.

High School Musical Stuff - Books, Puzzleball or Jigsaws.

hmmm. ill get some jigaws prob the bratz ones as she likes bratz and a small stereo as she does BALLET and is in a BALLET school

so ill get some music that she had practice her BALLET with too

if she's into make up etc how about a pamper kit?

maybe put a few nail polishes, lipsticks/glosses, maybe a cosmetic set (some very good ones in boots at the moment you could get some bag's to go in aswell make the most of the 3 for 2 offer)

Also maybe some bath smellies :- soaps bath bombs etc or a small jewelery item

I myself am making something like this up for my DD's and they are 8 and 7 (9 and 8 in january)
