High School Musical MP3 player - anyone got one?

I bought two of these for my 6 year old DDs for Christmas. Thought I'd charge one up yesterday and get some of their fave tunes onto it .... well what an absolute load of tat it turns out to be, or am I missing something?

It said in the instuctions that it would need charging for 2.5 hours to give 8 hours playback. It was plugged into my laptop all day and still didn't work properly.

It cost £30 and doesn't even have a screen to tell you what song/number you are listening to .

DH thinks it's a £10 MP3 with an extra £20 on top for the pleasure of the Disney HSM logo .

thats a shame - can you take them back? do you still have receipt?

I bought it in Argos with my nectar card points so I hope I can change it, will try tomorrow.

I'm wondering if it's a dud one or if they are generally a bit crap.

I would take it back and say it won't charge properly - if its not working you should be able to return them.
