All he has asked for so far is Pro Evolution Soccer 2008.

I probably will get him that. With the exception of the pS2 a couple of years ago, most of what they ask for and get is a lot of smaller stuff rather than a big thing such as a bike. he's 9 and all he is into is football, sometimes rugby and has some WWE figure things.
I just don't know what else to get him though

I got him Cluedo last year, adn Harry potter scene it. They have loads of games, probably due to places having 3 for 2 offers on, as they got about 4 each last year from other people.
I like Cluedo. Got DH Edinburgh monopoly last year so he couold live out his dream of woning Tynecastle and Murrayfield!

Anyway going off topic.
Cod you ahve one a similar age to mine I think, what sort of things do you get for him?

what age for cluedo?

saltire · 04/11/2007 13:54

There is a junior cluedo, for up to about age 7, I got DS1 this one, but got it much cheaper than that, about £10.99 I think it was in Toys R Us or Woolies

It probably will be a DS I end up getting him. At least I start my Christmas job tomorrow, so that will help cash wise!
DS2 has just informed me as well that he would like the Robin Hood DVD

What about subscription to football mag - Shoot or Match or something. DS is football mad and is getting a DS, but also a Liverpool away shirt (black not white, I am not stupid), a Match annual etc. I am going to try and get someone to buy him a bigger goal. And I think we might buy him a shiny silver football because whenever I am forced to take him shopping he insists on going in JJB and looking longingly at the footballs. And I don't think Christmas is all about being sensible and saying "well DS you already have 93 other footballs why do you need another".

lilolilmanchester · 05/11/2007 10:02

My DS liked the Guiness Book of Records (had it cheaply in "the Works" a few weeks ago and Ripley's Believe it or not (from the Book People). You can dip in and out of these and there's lots of different things to grab their attention.
Games always a good bet. Mine like Rummikub.
Also, kits to build (like electric circuits) - "science and discovery" type kits. They were on 3 for 2 in Smiths last year.
Might be worth having a browse around soccer world. I picked up some Adidas football boot bags for £3 in their bargain bin! Also sweatbands, new footie socks, drinks bottles go down well with mine.

kerrymum it was one from Tesco's IIRC,
It wasnt expensive and it works
