Samaritans Shoe-box - help my stupid pregnant brain understand...

In the past I have always included a cheque with my shoebox to cover the cost of transportation etc. I just went to the site to print out my Boy / Girl label and donation form, and saw a link saying "why not pay your £2.00 per box online to help reduce our overheads" so I thought oooh what a good idea and I did so.

But now... when I hand in my box, how will they know that I've paid online? I haven't been sent anything by email, other than a very brief "yup, payment recieved, ta" and I can't see anywhere on the form to quote my donation reference.

Am I being really stoopid? Help.

Right. Have just read again. It says "Place your donation envelope or online donation slip on top of the contents so that it will be clearly visible when the box is opened"

Is that really brief email my online donation slip?

And I'm doing 2 boxes - which one do I put it in?

Oh I'm so confused.

Print out the email that they'll send you - the payment received one should be ok. I haven't got our email cos I used DH's account so that we could gift aid it, but I think it was pretty brief.

I just printed it out twice!

Have to say, though, that it took my pg brain a while to work it out too!

Thank you Pigeon. That's what DP and I just decided to do, too. I shall staple it to the form.

Glad it's not just me. IT's not terribly clear, is it!

We do 4 boxes and I usually pay online. I just put a slip of paper or a post-it-note on the top of the goodies(in side the box) that says "online payment reference XXXXX (XXXXX = the reference number)" and it works well.
