brimfull · 30/10/2007 11:30

Matalan or the pound shops. I've seen a few in both those stores.

our poundshop had then a little while ago.

It was my Dad's birthday this weekend - Dad who doesn't need anything and would rather we didn't spend any money on him.

Anyway we made up a hamper in a box that the DC's had decorated with their pictures.

Obviousy depends how old children are and who the hamper's for, but it seemed to go down well.

I was going to say florist supply too. Ikea has a good range of baskets.

goingfor3 · 30/10/2007 11:53

Thanks for all of your ideas, will have a look in Ikea and also think about the pictures idea.

Also try Wilkinsons and Au Naturel. They'll be a bit more than from £ shop, but never seen any in our pound shops.

Poundland

Eddas · 03/11/2007 16:25

I second poundland! I got some for the hampers i'm making. They are technically laundry basket(according to the label) but i think hope they'll look good

ArmadilloDaMan · 03/11/2007 16:27

would second cheap poundland style shops.

Depending on size you should eb able to get them under £5 (unless you want huge).

Found Ikea too expensive last year wehn I was looking (for same reason). SO unless they have basket sale on I would try looking elsewhere.

WE have big shop thing called 'The Range' which is where I got mine from.

Have started thread here to share ideas about hampers if anyone is interested - really helped me last year (last year was first year I did them).
